The Best Bad Things

Songs & Stories of the Brave, Bawdy & Beautiful Women of San Francisco from 1800-1950

A Modular Musical created and performed by WOMEN

A Production of The Wild Women Collaborative of San Francisco

Candy Forest, Natalie Greene, Lua Hadar, Allison Lovejoy, Beth Wilmurt

The Best Bad Things tells stories of the grit, gumption and glamour of the adventurous women determined to carve out a future in what we now know as San Francisco. They arrived, survived and thrived on the Barbary Coast and beyond in a city where at one point there was ONE WOMAN to every 1000 men! From Spanish California and the Gold Rush to the Roaring 20s and Fabulous 50s, these amazing women and their enterprising pursuits blossomed into the vibrant community and culture we enjoy today.
